Debi Athos is the founder and publishing editor of Organic Shopper magazine. She is the mother of five, grandmother of five and promoter of the good of organics for people and the planet.

Debi has been working with her husband Tom Athos in the natural and organic industry for twenty-nine years. Beginning in 1980, they’ve worked together to promote organic living through teaching natural cooking and lifestyle classes, natural lifestyle consulting, running natural lifestyle educational centers as well as providing organic food and natural lifestyle products through their retail catalog service, Natural Lifestyle Mail-Order Market.

Debi is the founding director of The Imagine Center, a non-profit organization working to grow organics and environmental awareness through fun, festive and educational events such as their annual Organicfest celebration in downtown Asheville.

The Organicfest is held during National Organic Month to celebrate the goodness of organics while providing an opportunity to really ”get a taste” of what organics is all
about from food and farming to flowers and fashion.
